• Your CAS specifies residential independent school boarding requirements.

• Additional funds are needed for each accompanying family member.

• A 28-day consecutive holding period within 31 days of application is mandatory.

• If you are applying on January 1st, 2021, you must have funds for 28 days ending on December 1st.

• Provide evidence from the relevant entity if you have student loan or funding support.

A.S. Hornby Trust Scholarship

The Hornby Educational Trust works to improve how schools in emerging and middle-income countries teach English. Scholarships for Master's degrees are given to teachers and other workers who have already made important contributions to their field and show promise of doing so in the field of teaching English in their home country.

Students who meet all of the admissions standards for the MEd TESOL Programme at the University of Exeter by September 2023 will be able to apply for one of up to ten (10) fully funded scholarships (full fee waiver and a living stipend of at least £15,000 for the year). To be eligible for a grant, applicants must be citizens of and working in a low- or middle-income country on the OECD's Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list.

This only applies to the MEd TESOL course, not the PGCert or PGDip programmes that the University of Exeter offers.

Both the University of Exeter and the Hornby Trust are happy to be working together to give out these grants. Both places will look over the forms.

The last day for applications to be sent in was April 12, 2023.

GREAT Scholarships

Students from 14 different countries can get up to £10,000 from the GREAT Scholarships to help pay for a range of one-year taught postgraduate courses.

For the 2023-2024 school year, 200 grants will be given out by 49 schools in Great Britain.

Marshall Sherfield Fellowships

Eligibility

Those who want to apply must be U.S. nationals and have a bachelor's degree from a four-year U.S. college or university with a GPA of at least 3.7. People who deserve them and will have finished their first year of college after April 2021 will get awards starting in October 2024.

NB

No one can apply for a Marshall Scholarship if they already have a degree or degree comparable from the United Kingdom or are in the process of getting one there.

Tenure
